Faith in meeting him here. If this site wasn't around I would have never got the chance to meet, who I know will be my future. I believe that our feelings are very strong for each other and that maybe who knows. We have just meet and been going out for a month. The feeling is definately mutual. | summermoonlady said I have to say thank you for allowing us to meet someone of our dreams when the normal conventional way is not necessarily the way to go....My friend suggested for me to join ff and she did on her computor...and that was it done...30 seconds..about four days later a neighbour suggested for me to come to her house to pick up something and when I got there she was on the computor...I asked her to check my emails as there was a photo that had been scanned which I had problems with..having done that I suggested to go into ff and look around as I hadnt done that before....I said...what on earth is instant chat??? She was doing all the typing etc...so she clicked on into the instant chat and I kid you not...I received an instant response..and the Man said ...'Hello gorgeous'....this is my introduction to my profile... I looked at my friend and said how did he know about me so quickly....we chatted and chatted and finally he suggested to email me..I agreed thru ff and we havent stopped since....this is the man of my dreams and he and I have fallen madly in love and we just had a glitch but it was erased just as fast....he wants me to live with him but firstly to pay a visit...this will cost a fortune...but hey if he is the man of your dreams or she with you...then you would move mountains....wouldnt you??? | QuietAndIntent said My future wife and I would like to thank you for bringing us together. We will be married on April 13, 2002 - exactly one year from our first date. We started talking to each other through FriendFinder at the end of February and then graduated to the telephone. By the time that we went out on our first date, I was already certain that I would enjoy the company. We decided to go out on a Friday afternoon (Friday the 13th) since she was leaving town for the weekend. We started off with a nice lunch and then went to a local arboretum and spent a beautiful day walking among the blossoming crabapples. We spent the rest of the day together - talking and learning to appreciate each other's humor. I must say that she must have felt over-examined because I couldn't take my eye's off of her. Eleven hours later, we parted for the weekend. By the time I left, I was certain that I had found someone who would be very special. But - we hadn't even kissed yet! We had left each other with a simple hug and goodnight. The kiss would come later - along with the love that followed. On June 8th I asked her if she wanted to go back to the arboretum. She said yes. When we reached the Clematis arbor, I asked her if she would marry me. She said yes. We both feel that we have found our soul-mates. Being that I live in Minnesota and as we chatted conversation grew more and more intresting! We both decided that private chat would be more convient! On the second day of chat we exchanged phone numbers and spent more time on line (pretty much every waking hour). The end result of friendfinder and the chat sessions is that my friend (kinkyatnite) (his handle) and I decided that we enjoyed each other's company so much that a face to face meeting would be desirable and nessary(couldn't stand to be apart from each other)! The time finally came that on sunday the 21 we would meet my canadian friend had to take the bus from northern alberta 40 hours later he arrived in fargo, North Dakota! Here is where the buthead and my friend pulled a joke on me hahaha real funny ! Little to my knowledge My bestfriend and Troy (the canadian) talked about surprising me they decided to meet in northdakota (my friend also did this for a safty precaution kick the snot out of the guy if he was no good!!!!!!!!) anyway I was expecting to pick Troy up at 1:00am in St.Paul when my friend scared me by coming in at 9:00 pm not prepared at all!!!! At any rate the visit brought us closer then expected (hehe) and started a serious relationship full of love and trust, and we both hope and feel it will be a life long relationship!!!!!!! I emailed him and he wrote a very nice message back to me. We met a week later for a cup of coffee. I knew before I met him in person that he was exactly the type of guy I wanted to be with. He didn't mind at all that I wanted to bring one of my girlfriends with me because I was nervous about meeting someone for the first time. The three of us had a great time and the night flew by. There was one in particular that caught my attention and right off the get-go we had made arrangements to meet once I got back from my overseas deployment. I'll admit I was kind of hesitant to meet Kim, being that we've only exchanged a few emails. But I took a chance (as I'm sure she did) and we met at a local pub. From there on it has been like a fairytale. She's by far the perfect match for me. Just as I thought it couldn't get any better, it does. Our relationship blossemed and now we've taken it a step further and bought each other promise rings. The first week a gentleman wrote that I sounded like someone that he would be interested in meeting. His screen name was Popeye. When I responded I signed it Olive Oyl. We have been laughing together ever since. What a wonderful man. And he says that meeting me makes him the luckiest man on the planet. I sent an e-mail to Paul and got a response back, we had the same sense of humor and we"clicked" almost immediately. After about a month we decided to meet. I took one look at Paul and I melted. We had so much fun and not even a week later started dating.Its been 7 months and things are wonderful. From taking walks together, cooking together, to going out on the town we have so much fun. Almost everyone who has seen us together has said to me that they can see the love we have in our eyes. We recently took a trip to Florida and while in the pool, the ring that he had gotten for me fell off. I had met one man in person but an online woman friend of his became outraged and spread vicious rumors and lies about me. I knew this wasnt the place for me if someone could be so hateful over a simple meeting. Then a few days later, in May 2001, a man said hello to me in a chat room. I wasnt much interested after all I had been thru, but he seemed different. We talked and had a wonderful time. The next day he sent me an email telling me how much he enjoyed our chat. That impressed me very much. We talked on the phone and found that we had so much in common. I found myself thinking about him constantly. We talked every day, then several times a day. I am in Florida and he is in Nebraska, but we didnt let distance stop us from getting to know each other better. On June 25th, he came to Florida to spend a week with me. As soon as he walked off the airplane I knew he was the man I had been waiting all my life for. We had not exchanged pictures so this was our first time seeing each other. We had a wonderful week together. He has made me happier than I could have ever imagined! In 10 days, on August 15th I will be flying to Nebraska and we will be getting married on August 18th. Well, everything start when I looked by my side and I saw that the world was getting crazy. I know that people say that this is stupid but: du you really see what's going on in the world? People die every 5 second for an accident, illness or a murder. Young people don't live they life like they have to do, some of them even go to school or don't even know how to read or write. Soemtimes I feel very sad becouse I don't know what to do to help just a little, and today is one of those days! When I came to this web, I was just looking for a nice friendship, but everybody always try to talk about sex! what's wrong? sex it's the only thing in this world? I got an idea: there is not a real friend. But they I realice that's not true, I have one, the best in the world! And then I started thinking: What can I do to help? world will change? Can people me more responsable? Can I trust in someone? What I can do with every bad feeling I have everyday? WEll, I have many choses: I can learn for every problem and try to be more positive, help as many people I can and try to make people to understand what really it's going on. We broke up for a while but kept in touch with emails and text. After emailing back and forth for a month (I didn't give him my phone #), we spoke on the phone, and then met in person. From that very first date, there was never a question about not being "right" for each other. We always made plans for the next meeting. We lived in different states. But the long and short of it is that we got married after a year, because phoning, emailing and visiting were no longer enough. We wanted to be with each other all the time. I (belle28) sent him an email and didn't receive anything for a while. until suddenly i got an email from Funloving18. we emailed each other for a couple of weeks, and through our emails it showed that we had a lot in common. after a couple of weeks we decided to meet. so we met, in company of our friends. although we didn't get a chance to talk to each very much, we made up for that a few days later, when we went for coffee. we talked for 3hrs, and had no idea where the time went. after about 10 days we had our first date, the day before Valentine's day. we have been together for over 2 years now. and i have never been happier. we see each other every day and cannot get enough of each other's company. he lights my soul like no one has. i am sure that we are meant to be together. we cannot wait to make our dreams together a reality. we have been sooooo lucky thus far, i pray that the Gods will continue to watch over us. our love seems to be growing with each passing day. we hope to be married once we both finish school and if wehave the money for it by the time we want to. i thank my friend, Todd, for getting to join friendfinder,and i thank friendfinder for helping me find my soulmate and true love. to all those skeptics out there, true love does happen, you just have to work hard at it and keep an eye open for it. i never thought that this would happen to me. :) | |

I was just browsing one day and saw a couple of profiles that seemed intresting but one profile in particular that I was immediatly drawn to. I was really interested and decided to e-mail this person. I never really expected to hear back but one day I did. From that day on we started talking and getting to know eachother. I found that we had alot in common and had really good conversations. About a month later we decided we would meet in person, I was nervous and hesitant but decided to go anyway. When I look at Paul I was just blown away, he was so handsome. From that day we just hit it off. Paul has completely changed my life in a positive way. He has shown me how to love and how to be loved. He means everything to me and I am looking forward to spending a long time with him and making memories to last a lifetime. Back in Jauary I recieved a cupid report in my email and I usually just ignore them but this time I though I'd actually look at the profile they suggested. So I did and I emailed the guy. We emailed each other for a couple of weeks and then decided to meet at a neutral location. He had seen my picture but I hadn't seen his. I was nervous about seeing him but I was ready to meet him. He told me that he would be wearing a black leather jacket and when he walked through the door I just thought, "wow". He turned out to be really a sweet guy just like he was in the emails that he wrote. He wasn't fake at all, he was real. Well, we dated for a few days and then he decided he wanted to tranfer schools so we broke up. But then about a month of not talking and not seeing eachother, he emailed me. So I emailed him back and we decided to go on another date. The sparks were all rekindled and on top of that he told me that he had changed his major and was staying here. So now we are together again and our love is stronger than ever. I know your thinking, "love already? You barely met..." But there was just something about him that made me feel for him like I had never felt for anyone else, and I know that he feels the same about me. So hopefully it will be happily ever after, but if not I'm still happy that FriendFinder gave me this chance to know someone great and to fall in love with a great guy rather than a jerk (I'm a jerk magnent), but not anymore! :) | |
| hutch_jc said First of all, I asked God to give me a friend.I prayed for him and asked God to give it to me and He gave it right away..In just one event we get closer to each other.We shared our dreams, plans, ambitions in life.We always stroll, eating foods, went somewhere else together as one friend..we had something in common, even our family backgrounds and problems..but we enjoyed a lot we go to Christian bar our favorite place, we enjoyed worshipping the Lord together with the group of Christians and I disciple to him since then... Im so happy about it but there is a time that situation came wherein that we made a misunderstanding and we did not talk and meet for two weeks and after that a few months we just looking at each other without any conversation but after this I was very happy to know that he is there again approached me and ask forgiveness and invited me in their house to have a dinner together and spend time as friends..Thus friends are there always and if there is misunderstanding you will always ready to forgive thats how friendship goes...Bear in mind that behind all these things the greatest FRIEND of all is JESUS..this is my story..God bless you all......have a nice day... | |
